We lived in Virginia, the Tidewater, on a tidal creek that feeds into the Potomac River. This old two story house has been abandoned for half a century or more. The yard around it is overgrown with weeds and brambles. I often walked down the gravel path to the water's edge on the Nomini Creek. I loved this view as I turned to go home.
