The Drennen-Scott House in 2000

This house is now the Drennen-Scott Historic Site in Van Buren AR., renovated now and open to the public in May of 2011. I painted there with my class around 2000 before it was sold to the University of Ar Fort Smith. The house was built in 1838 by John Drennen, a former federal agent to the Five Civilized Tribes and founder of Van Buren AR. Only family members owned or lived at this property until the 2005 sale to UAFS.
