In July of 2010 a friend invited me to stay with her at her family cabin in the Santa Fe Mountains in N.M. There were three of us painting plein air for 5 days in the mountains and in the Sante Fe area. The cabin was built of native stone and logs. Early on the second day we stayed home and painted the cabin as the sun came peeking through the pine forest. This is an oil painting done on site -- 16 x 12
